IDSO began in Washington in 2004 and is now based in Florida.
Its original focus was the measurement of water and water vapor in building materials, responsible use of moisture meters and comparison with normal equilibrium moisture conditions. Technical reports helped explain what those measurements meant for drying progress. That foundation connects the organization’s work across its family of brands.
Today, the DryStandard family helps property owners, restoration professionals and claims stakeholders connect with the services and knowledge relevant to their projects.
OUR DIRECTION
Support restoration decisions with carefully collected evidence, qualified technical interpretation and practical professional education.
DryStandard Report Software was a stepping stone in the development of IDSO’s next development initiative, with a focus on moisture measurement and technical reporting.

SUBSTANTIATING RESTORATION EXCELLENCE
Sound restoration decisions begin with a clear understanding of the property. We help owners, restoration professionals, insurers and legal teams examine conditions, understand the technical findings and define the questions that still need answers.
Observations, testing and project records form the basis of our technical work. Findings should reflect the evidence, regardless of who commissions the assignment.
The right specialist brings relevant education and practical experience. We discuss scope, qualifications and potential conflicts before accepting an assignment.
Clear reporting explains what was observed, what it supports and where further investigation may be needed.
