TECHNICAL REVIEW WITH KEN LARSEN, CR

A technical question deserves a scoped professional answer.

Make sense of restoration records, methods and competing technical opinions. Define the questions, the evidence to review and the deliverable before the work begins.

File-review engagements have a $2,500 minimum under the current schedule. Ken reviews scope, availability and conflicts before acceptance.

THE DELIVERABLE COMES FIRST

Agree what you need answered.

Depending on the accepted assignment, the deliverable may be a defined technical consultation, a written file review, comments on another technical report or expert support. Ken identifies the records, assumptions, limitations and any further evidence needed.

Ask whether the question can be addressed from records remotely. Site attendance, travel and additional investigation are agreed separately.

Include these details in your inquiry

  • The technical question and intended use of the answer.
  • The project location, restoration stage and deadline.
  • The names of the parties for conflict review.
  • The types of records available and the deliverable requested.

Arrange secure document transfer after the initial review. Do not paste confidential case records into the inquiry.

GENERAL GUIDANCE AND PROJECT OPINIONS

Keep the conversation useful.

General questions about restoration concepts are welcome. When the answer requires reviewing a property, a claim file, measurements or another expert's report, request a defined consulting assignment so the evidence and intended use can be considered properly.

Technical findings follow the evidence. A paid assignment does not purchase a preferred conclusion or promise an insurance outcome.
